MAY 3, 2011 ----- "THE MAGIC MILE" SPEED REPORT FOR THE WEEKEND OF APRIL 30 - MAY 1 ..... Kyle Busch got an early birthday present Saturday night by winning the Crown Royal presents the Matthew and Daniel Hansen 400. Busch dominated the race leading 235 of the 400 laps. He will turn 26 on Monday.
• Kyle Busch driver of the No. 18 M&M’s Toyota captured his 21st NASCAR Sprint Cup Series win under the lights at Richmond International Raceway.
• This is Busch’s third straight Richmond spring victory.
• He joins Kevin Harvick as only the second repeat winner of the 2011 season.
• Busch’s teammate and hometown favorite Denny Hamlin finished second.
• Pole sitter Juan Montoya and Ryan Newman were involved in several incidents on track.
• Top-10 finishers: Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Kasey Kahne, David Ragan, Carl Edwards, Clint Bowyer, A.J. Allmendinger, Jimmie Johnson, Tony Stewart and Brian Vickers.
• Top-10 in points: Carl Edwards, Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kevin Harvick, Kurt Busch, Clint Bowyer, Ryan Newman, Matt Kenseth, Tony Stewart and A.J. Allmendinger.
• The next NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race will be at Darlington Raceway, Saturday, May 7, beginning at 7 p.m. (ET).
Due to inclement weather the IZOD IndyCar Series race in Brazil will resume Monday at 8 a.m. (ET).
