MAY 16, 2011 ----- RAIN STOPS MONADNOCK SPEEDWAY EVENT ----- The management of Mondnock Speedway made an early decision this past Saturday to cancel the event as rain was forecasted to enter the region in the early evening. The early cancellation was right on target as the rain came down at 6pm which would have put an end to the program before it started. The Victor Johnson Memorial Race schedule for the May 14th event will be held on a future date to be determined.
This weekend, Monadnock Speedway will be back in action on Saturday Night as they will host the Tour Type Modifieds, NE Truck Series, Classic Lites, Super Stocks, Mini Stocks, Young Guns, Lightning Stocks (4-cylinder Enduros) and Thunder Stocks (Full Size Enduros). Race time is at 6pm. On Sunday, the speedway will kick off the Mud Bog Mud Slinger Series with a test and tune session starting at noon in preparation for the first competition being held on June 12th.
On Memorial Day Weekend, the speedway has brought in a special show in addition to the race venue. Louise Forsley from Let It Fly Entertainment will be on hand to show off her stuff. Forsley is a 4 time champion motorcycle stunt woman. She will perform a variety of stunts which will give the fans an extra treat of chills and thrills.
