JULY 11, 2011 ..... East Coast Mini Sprints Added to Open Cockpit Super Sunday Series at Legion Speedway ..... Sprint Car drivers Si Allen and Mike Kondrat have announced that the East Coast Mini Sprints have been added to the Open Cockpit Super Sunday Series at Legion Speedway on July 24, which features the Sprint Cars of New England.
“The East Coast Mini Sprints are a great organization and we’re proud to be associated with them,” Allen said. “They had more than 20 cars at their recent races in New York and we’re hoping for just as many in New Hampshire.”
The 750, 1000 and 1200cc East Coast Mini Sprints will run as a combined class. The 500 and 600cc Granite State Mini Sprints and the 600cc North East Mini Sprints will also be on hand for an all out open cockpit show headlined by the full sized 360 c.i. Sprint Cars of New England (SCoNE).
Operated by American Legion Post 76, Legion Speedway is located on Route 25 near the Rumney/Wentworth townline.
Hot laps start at 2:00 pm on Sunday July 24, with the first heat race scheduled for 3:00 pm.
Admission for adults between 17 and 61 is just $8.00. Teens 12-16, Seniors 62 and older and active duty military with ID are $7.00. Kids from 5-11 are just $2.00 and kids under 5 are free.
