AUGUST 1, 2011 ----- 'The Magic Mile' Speed Report'; Brickyard 400 ----- The 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season continues to be a season of firsts. Paul Menard kept the streak alive yesterday, becoming the fourth first time winner this year, capturing the Brickyard 400 checkered flag at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
*The win was Menard's first in 167 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts.
*Behind the wheel of the No. 27 Menard's Chevrolet, Paul Menard is the only driver to capture his first career win at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
*Menard held off a hard charging Jeff Gordon who finished just .725 seconds behind him in second place.
