AUGUST 29, 2011 ----- Monadnock Speedway Escapes Damages ----- The management of Monadnock Speedway cancelled all events this past weekend due the impeding forecast and Hurricane Irene. The speedway received no damages from the storm with the exception of minor flooding in the infield.
This Saturday, September 3rd, Monadnock Speedway will host the final Tour Type Modified event for the 2011 season. The event will determine the 2011 NASCAR Whelen All American Weekly Racing Series Modified Champion where three competitors will be competing for the title. Leading the points is Kirk Alexander with both Jim Boniface and Todd Patnode close behind in the battle. The final 50 lapper will no doubt be an exciting one as the local top guns go for the 2011 championship title.
The Classic Lites are also competing for the first time in the 2011 season along with the weekly divisions of Super Stocks, Mini Stocks, Young Guns, Lightning Stocks and Thunder Stocks. Race time 6pm.
Monadnock Speedway will wrap up the 2011 race season hosting their annual Super Saturday on September 17th. The event has a special start time 2pm and the highlights include the 50 lap Sportmans Modified Shoot Out, 35 Lap Super Stock Showdown and 35 Lap Mini Stock Conquest. The schedule also includes Young Guns, Lightning Stocks (4-cylinder Enduro), Thunder Stocks (Full Size Enduro), Pro 4 Modifieds, Allison Legacy North, NE Truck Series and the Great School Bus Race. Practice will start at noon with pit gates opening at 10am. Competitors from area tracks are welcome to compete.
